A test of lifesaving skills
At the 15th annual "Jolt Tournament Jaws of Life" competition held last weekend at Firemen's Field in Ridge, Sound Beach fireman Philip Alaimo works the Jaws of Life while Michael Rosasc holds the car door. Their team made it into the third round with a time of five minutes, 20 seconds. Twenty-seven fire departments participated in the event, which is sponsored by Firematic Supply Company of East Yapank.
