The New York State Lottery reported Wednesday that the first prize jackpot was for $162 million. The winning numbers were 3, 33, 35, 39, 45 and Megaball number 13.
As of presstime no winner had stepped up to claim the prize.
Cards and Things owner Sonny Zaveri said the previous biggest winning ticket his store had ever sold was for $6 million. But he said that ticket was sold about 10 years ago.
Mr. Zaveri said the winning ticket created a media circus at his store and he hopes it also beings more customers in to play the Lotto.
"Right now we have all the media here," he said. "It's very exciting."
