Paid Notice   1 comments below

Leonard Isidore Kobylenski Sr., age 90, died March 3 in Riverhead.

Beloved husband of Anelia (née Stachecki). Dear father of Leonard Jr. (the late Cynthia) of Montana and Joann Vollmer (Rick) of New Hampshire. Loving grandfather of Leonard III and Basia, both of Montana, Hannah Vollmer of New Hampshire and Emmylou Vollmer (Benjamin Hagerl) of California; and great-grandfather of Jack. Brother of Harry Kobylenski of Riverhead, and Walter Kobylenski of Calverton.

As a lifelong farmer, Leonard's greatest joy and dedication was to prepare the fields with love and care to produce a bountiful harvest. Leonard's other joy was going to the mountains of Montana and New Hampshire to visit his son, daughter and grandchildren.

Leonard was one of the organizers of the St. Isidore Holy Name Society and a member of the Polish Town Civic Association.

Visiting hours were Sunday, March 7, at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Robert Kuznik officiating. Burial was at St. Isidore R.C. Cemetery.

Donations to St. Isidore's "Good Friday Cross for Adoration" Fund or East End Hospice are appreciated.
